Virtual Coffee ConneXions – Submit your EOI by Friday 31 July
Meeting new people and growing your professional network while working remotely can be challenging. That’s why we’re launching Virtual Coffee ConneXions: small, informal, virtual coffee catch ups with other members.
This initiative is open to all APMP ANZ members and is free.
- It’s really easy to join in. Just email your expression of interest by Friday, 31 July
- You will then be matched up with 3-4 members who also want to meet new people
- Each group will receive an email to introduce you all, along with some tips on how to get the conversation flowing (after all, for some of us it has been a while!)
- One person in each group will be designated responsible for finding a time that suits all
- And you can meet on whichever platform suits you – be that Teams / Skype / Zoom / Whatsapp / Whatever
Just email your EOI to Kate Woodlock at email@example.com by Friday 31 July to be connected with 3-4 other members across the chapter.

Brisbane Networking Evening
The value of conferences
Our latest networking and drinks event in Brisbane looked at the value of conferences as we got to hear about the BidCon in Orlando, and discuss the (then) imminent ANZ Conference.
Melbourne drinks on Thursday 4 July
It was great to see so many new people. Attendees were from all walks of life: engineering, law, IT, banking, healthcare; and were both inhouse and consultants. This is the most engagement and attendance we have had for social drinks. And the vibe on the night was just awesome.
Contact Kate Woodlock on firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more about upcoming events in Melbourne.
Hanging out in Hong Kong
Thank you for all those you came to the mixer on 19 June.
The conversation ranged from who’s going to the Melbourne APMP conference, to where each one was during the HK demonstrations, to what should we do for our next mixer.
For the next event in August, we would like to get your suggestions!
Singapore Lunch and Learn
Kick off meetings are a critical part of the proposal process to get right as the impacts from mistakes made early multiply.
The discussion was broad ranging, including influencing stakeholders, Go/No Go and managing client relationships.
Thanks to Gina Esguerra and John Davies for presenting; also to Aurecon for providing the meeting space.
At our next event in September we plan on presenting highlights from the conference to those who can’t make it to Melbourne this year.
If you’d like to join the Singapore mailing list for future events, please contact Sara Miller, Pitch and Pursuit Excellence Leaders – Asia Pac at Baker McKenzie, at email@example.com to learn more.
Winning work/proposal professionals in Singapore from legal services, construction, Big 4 and real estate …and that was just to get started before the rest of the group arrived!
Yes we Canberra. Sharing drinks and proposal stories at the Yacht Club.
The APMP ANZ Chapter had our first ever networking night in Kuala Lumpur on 1 April to help build connections among the proposal community in the broader Asia Pacific region. And what a background at the W Hotel Wet Deck for a group photo!
Our community in Hong Kong also came together for their first networking night of the year at the Q88 at the JW Marriott. Great to see professionals from real estate and property, professional services, traffic management, and proposal development consulting, all come together to share stories – does it get more diverse than this regarding company types involved in bidding?
If you would like to meet others in your community who are passionate about winning work via bids, pursuits, tenders, proposals and pitches, and frequently travel through or work in Asia Pacific countries outside of Australia where there is no APMP chapter, feel free to get in touch with Sara Miller to see if there are events in your area at firstname.lastname@example.org
