Call for committee nominations

Take an active role in your profession’s member association:

• Would you like to make a more active contribution to the profession of bid/proposal management?

• Have you thought about shaping the role of the APMP ANZ Chapter within the global APMP community?

• Would you like to earn Continuing Education Unit (CEU)/Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points for your contribution?

The APMP ANZ Chapter invites nominations from its members to serve on the APMP ANZ Chapter Committee for a 12-month term. The committee term starts in January 2027 (or earlier subject to discussion between outgoing/incoming volunteers). All members of the APMP ANZ Chapter are eligible for office.

Committee nominations will close at 6pm AEDT on 16 October 2026 in advance of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 17 November 2026. Committee and Sub-Committee roles will be announced at the AGM. .

About APMP & the ANZ Chapter:

APMP is the worldwide authority for professionals dedicated to winning business through proposals, bids, tenders, and presentations. The organisation was started in 1990 and now has 26 Chapters in 87 countries.

The APMP ANZ Chapter was formed in late 2008 for proposal professionals in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific region. The APMP ANZ Chapter is an incorporated association and operates under the NSW Fair Trading model constitution. The Chapter also adheres to the APMP Chapter Affiliate Agreement and Chapter Guidelines.

The Chapter is administered by a committee of Executive and Ordinary Committee members providing professional development and networking opportunities to over 600 members.

Nominations

Volunteering with the APMP offers a unique opportunity to give back to the profession, and to develop professionally, including learning how a professional committee operates.

The committee meets online for one hour each month. These meetings provide a platform for discussing objectives, sharing updates, and coordinating efforts, helping to foster a strong sense of community among volunteers to work towards common goals. (We note that Executive Committee members meet for a further half hour each month to support the strategic direction of the Chapter.)

The committee structure is set up as an Executive Committee and an Ordinary Committee and combined, is commonly referred to as the APMP ANZ Committee. Each committee member has a set focus area and initiatives to work toward to deliver on the Chapter’s strategic plan. These are the areas that members value most.

The capacity and workload for each role may fluctuate, reflecting the specific needs of the organisation and individual commitments. The structure outlines a minimum time commitment for each role and illustrates links between roles to create the opportunity for collaboration and teamwork during busier times (such as conference time). Committee volunteers are encouraged to support each other to achieve outcomes for members.

Positions

Executive and Ordinary Committee

Executive Committee roles are voting roles; they are Office Bearers with a broad focus. These members meet twice a month to support administration of the Chapter. All roles are for a 12-month term however it is recommended that nominees take a longer-term view and consider undertaking a 2-year term to retain critical knowledge and support momentum.

Ordinary Committee roles are also voting roles; they have a specific focus and are considered workstream leads. They meet once a month to support administration of the Chapter.

We include an overview of the tasks, time commitment and initiatives to be performed by each of the roles, as endorsed by the committee (read on for more information).

Sub-Committee

Sub-Committee roles are an important part of the Chapter’s success. They are non-voting roles with meeting cycles maintained completely independent of the formal committee structure. These are led by a committee member and support the achievement of initiatives of the APMP ANZ Chapter.
